What Sūrat al-Qadr is about
Sūrat al-Qadr has 5 āyāt in the thirtieth juzʼ. It opens with Allah saying He sent it down on the Night of Decree, Laylat al-Qadr, which gives the sūrah its name (97:1). Then it asks what will make you know what that night is (97:2).
It answers: the Night of Decree is better than a thousand months (97:3). In it the angels and the Spirit come down by their Lord’s leave with every matter (97:4). It is peace until the rising of the dawn (97:5).
