What Sūrat al-ʿAṣr is about

Sūrat al-ʿAṣr has 3 āyāt in the thirtieth juzʼ, and is one of the shortest sūrahs of the Qurʼān. It opens with an oath by time, which gives the sūrah its name (103:1).

Its message fits in one sentence: the human is in loss (103:2), except those who believe, do good deeds, urge one another to the truth, and urge one another to patience (103:3). Four things lift a person out of loss, and two of them are done together with others.
