What Sūrat aṭ-Ṭalāq is about
Sūrat aṭ-Ṭalāq has 12 āyāt in the twenty-eighth juzʼ. It is named after divorce. It tells the Prophet and the believers to divorce women at the start of their waiting period, to count it, and not to put them out of their homes (65:1). At its end, keep them kindly or part kindly, with two just witnesses (65:2).
Within these rulings come promises: whoever is mindful of Allah, He makes a way out for him and provides from where he does not expect (65:2–3), and whoever relies on Allah, He is enough for him (65:3). Allah will bring ease after hardship (65:7). The sūrah ends with the seven heavens and as many earths (65:12).
