What Sūrat al-Kawthar is about
Sūrat al-Kawthar has 3 āyāt in the thirtieth juzʼ, and is one of the shortest sūrahs of the Qurʼān. It opens with Allah telling the Prophet: We have given you al-Kawthar, a name that speaks of abundance (108:1).
So the Prophet is told to pray to his Lord and to sacrifice (108:2). The sūrah ends by saying that it is the one who hates him who is cut off (108:3). Its three āyāt hold a gift, a command and a reassurance.
