What Sūrat al-Fīl is about

Sūrat al-Fīl has 5 āyāt in the thirtieth juzʼ. It is named after the elephant. It asks whether you have not seen what your Lord did with the people of the elephant, and whether He did not make their plan go astray (105:1–2).

Then it tells what happened to them: Allah sent birds in flocks against them, pelting them with stones of baked clay (105:3–4), and made them like straw that has been eaten (105:5). The sūrah gives no names and no place; it tells only what Allah did.

    The people of the elephant
