What Sūrat an-Nās is about
Sūrat an-Nās has 6 āyāt and is the last sūrah of the Qurʼān. It is a prayer for protection. The Prophet is told to say: I seek refuge with the Lord of people, the King of people, the God of people (114:1–3).
Each of these three names of Allah is joined to the word “people”, an-nās, which gives the sūrah its name. Refuge is sought from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, who whispers in the hearts of people, from among the jinn and people (114:4–6).
- Āyāt 1–3

- Āyāt 4–6
